And so it begins BUT ALSO BUT ALSOEDIT 12419Okay so after reading THIS part of the blurbPerfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo Marie Lu Patrick Rothfuss and Sarah J MaasWHAT EW WTF No JustnoWhoever wrote that needs their head checked And then rechecked And then maybe just take the whole thing off all together MWT blows all four of those authors out of the water and I will plant myself and die on that hill Seriously Let s think about this her books are about 300 pg long She has six of them Rothfuss and Maas write 700 pg books in Maas case MANY of them and can barely TOUCH MWT s skill will world building Comparatively Lu and Bardugo are just mediocre I mean I d rate them both HIIIIIGH above Maas but next to MWTErm No Sorry not sorry But its true Aside but kinda not an aside MWT ALSO manages to write stellar popular ENGAGING books without pandering to any kind of modern political addendum adding a bunch of unnecessary love story subplots forcing her clearly just friends male characters to be gay just to satisfy some sort of stupid inclusion blah blah blah and without ANY sex Sex sells and Maas knows it but when something is TRULY good like TT booksthey don t need it Note like if y all really love Maas books or Bardugo s books or whatever I m in no way saying you can t like them and like MWT s books tooI m just saying a comparison between MWT s books and their books islaughable They aren t written for similar audiences AT ALL You can read MWT s books at any age and still get a lot out of them Bardugo s books are heavily marketed towards 13 17 year olds though yes they are clearly enjoyed by many women in their 20s as well and Maas books should ONLY be read 18NOTE I don t MIND having gay characters in books but 910 that I ve come across in YA fiction they feel like they ve been slapped in there and forced into a ship together just because the author s worried about inclusion I haven t come across a single gay character in a YA fantasy book who ISN T automatically slapped into a hasty ship and who has some kind of development beyond just their sexuality That s just lazy writing It s annoying It s like having a tough girl character just to have a tough girl character STOP DOING IT Crazy Horses Girlfriend the Child Support this sweeping conclusion Perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo Marie Lu Patrick Rothfuss and Sarah J MaasNeither accepted nor beloved Eugenides is 777 the Lost Blood the uneasy linchpin of a Abandoned Alice the Lesser Peninsula where he has risen Map My Heart to be high king.
